Develop and manage suite of browser extensions, including Mahalo Follow and Mahalo Share; also responsible for the development of a server-side API to aid Mahalo.com Guides in creating custom search engine result pages.

Lead developer for Netscape Navigator Web browser and Netscape Messenger mail and news client; was also responsible for the Netscape.com API and day-to-day coding for Netscape.com (later known as Propeller.com).

Developed website imaging technology for use in company's visual search engine.

Developed extension for Mozilla-based browsers to supplement the client's IE-only toolbar. More information about the extension is available at tools.compete.com

Performed technical review on "Learning PHP and MySQL," published in June, 2006. Technologies that I was responsible for ensuring the accuracy and usage of included PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, MySQL, Apache Web server configuration, Smarty templating, and PEAR DB abstraction.

Developed extensions for Mozilla-based browsers using XUL and Javascript, including ScribeFire, Mahalo Follow, TubeStop, Slashdotter, Feed Sidebar, RSS Ticker, Slashdotter, URL Fixer, AutoAuth, Links Like This, and OPML Support. More information available at chrisfinke.com.

I have a genuine affinity for software development and problem solving. I am deeply committed to fast and accurate work, and I am able to work flexibly and efficiently both independently and with a team.

I have extensive experience with PHP, Smarty, Python/Django, HTML, CSS, and SQL, mainly in relation to building large-scale Web applications. My other concentration consists of JavaScript (including AJAX), XML/XPath, and XUL, all used for developing extensions for Mozilla-based browsers such as Firefox, Netscape Navigator, and Flock.
